About Our Mission

Red Shield Tutors fosters partnerships between high school tutors and the Salvation Army to support the educational needs of underserved students in California. By creating these connections, we strive to provide students with accessible educational materials, including fun tutoring sessions and creative events; simultaneously, we provide high school tutors with opportunities to connect with their community and mentor students from different backgrounds. We recognize that such partnerships are essential in bridging the educational losses brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Through our efforts, we seek to nurture the love of learning within all participants!
